Highland County Fair Queen Application
Rules:
1. Girls may be nominated by each of the following organizations;
a. FFA
b. FCCLA
c. Scouts (Girl - Campfire)
d. Farm Bureau Youth
e. 4-H Clubs
f. Junior Leadership Club
g. Family & Consumer Science
2. Girls must be between 15 and 19 years of age as of January 1 of current year, not married nor have been married, nor have borne a child. All past queens are not eligible.
3. The girl chosen will represent Highland County in the Ohio State Junior Fair Queen Contest in 2009. (An alternate is to be chosen in case the queen is unable to represent Highland County in the Ohio State Fair.)
4. Contestants must present a 3-5 minute oral presentation on the Jr. Fair Theme, "Highland County Fair - It's a Tradition". NO OTHER TOPICS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!! No props of any kind may be used.
5. Judging will be based on the following factors:
a. 25% Personality and Personal Interview with Judges
b. 25% Oral Presentation: Limited to 3-5 minutes
c. 25% Achievements and Applications
d. 25% Personal Appearance and Poise
6. Return applications to Jean Fawley, 5721 W. New Market Rd, Hillsboro, OH 45133 by Friday, August 15, 2008. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE BECAUSE OF PRESS RELEASE!! Attach TWO (2) PHOTOGRAPHS. They may be color or black and white. Please provide billfold size. Headshots only, no animals or objects in photos. Queen Contest will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008.
