CLASS 001  Annuals
           LOT 001  Exhibit 3 different specimen of annuals (use 3 separate bottles).
           LOT 002  Exhibit 5 different specimen of annuals (use 5 separate bottles).

Suggested annuals include:  zinnias, marigolds, asters, calendula, carnations, celosia, cockscomb, bachelor buttons, cosmos, nasturtium, petunias, strawflowers, salvia, snapdragons, gladiolus, larkspur, bells of Ireland, etc. 

CLASS 002  Perennials
           LOT 001  Exhibit 3 separate perennials (use 3 bottles)
           LOT 002  Exhibit 5 separate perennials (use 5 bottles)

Suggested perennials include chrysanthemums, delphiniums, daisies, poppy, hollyhock, lavender, lupine, etc. 

CLASS 003  LOT 001  Bouquet of mixed annual flowers
CLASS 004  LOT 001  Simple line arrangements: Vertical, horizontal or triangle

A line arrangement is one in which the lines are the most important feature and in which the plant material is sparse.  The line is so strong that it is dominant.  There is no massing of plant material at the base.  Only a minimum of material may be added at the base for weight and stability.  Spaces and voids are evident.  Line may be the natural, graceful lines of plant materials, or the line formed by the way the plant materials are arranged. 

CLASS 005  Houseplants
           LOT 001  Houseplants - exhibit two out of the following categories:  foliage,
                          flowering plants, flowering bulbs, succulents, cacti and ferns
           LOT 002  Houseplants – design, arrange, and plant a planter of several
                          different plants. 

PREMIUMS:      A - $2.00    B - $1.50    C - $l.00 

RULES

  1. Exhibitors may only enter one in each class.
  2. Flowers are to be pre-registered by August 15 or registered on the Saturday before the fair from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; but the flowers are to be brought in on Monday of the judging before noon.
