The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.

The staff at OSU Extension, Highland County have been working from home during the COVID-19 stay at home order. Starting June 15, 2020, we are reopening the office on a limited basis. This is not a return to business as usual. Based on OSU requirements and local guidelines the following plan is in place for the next few weeks.

Tune in on Wednesdays at 10 am to view The Southern Ohio Farm Show, a new program offered by the OSU Extension offices from Brown, Clermont, and Highland Counties.
The program will include a market update, weather forecast, and each episode will include a feature topic.

The Ohio Department of Health is now requiring all food service facilities licensed at a 'Risk Level 2 or higher' to have at least one staff person who has completed an ODH approved Level 2 Food Safety training.
