If you are planning on becoming a new volunteer, this above application needs to be completed as well as the background check.
Recently there is a new process in order to complete your background check here in Highland County at the Sheriff’s office.
You now have to preregister/application (fill out the forms online and pay) at: https://highlandoh.permitium.com/fingerprint/start
- Select BCI background check (cost should be less than $37 including fees)
- At the end of the preregistration/application process, the option to schedule a time for BCI/FBI check will be given (in-person finger scanning).
*If you are required to put in a phone number for the employer, you can put (614) 247-myHR (6947) or a personal number. Employer phone number isn’t used when the background checks are ran.
If you have any questions about the fingerprinting process at the Highland County Sheriff's Office, please reach out to them on the non-emergency line at (937) 393-1421.
